A place for thoughts, favourites and fancies. |
It’s hard to visit an art or design blog these days without spotting the illustration work of Estonian artist Eiko Ojala, his Naked series is a great place to get started. The artist works digitally without the aid of 3D software where he draws everything by hand to create landscapes, figures and portraits that look as if they’ve been cut from paper. Most critical are the placement of shadows which Ojala also draws by hand.
More doodles from the iPad.
They’re nothing fancy, but they’re fun and easy to do, and that’s all I’m looking for :)
Just one of the oodles of doodles I end up spending my time on. If a few get a bit of feedback I may upload more frequently, if not… well I’ll probably do it anyway.
And then worked on this fella a lot longer. Octopode.
Love the octopuses, been doodling at the aquarium
How can responsive design bring awareness to many floral species exinction threat?
« Hide-and-seek with the missing » is a flooring design aiming at bring awareness and inform the population on the importance of the management and the preservation of nature.
Inspired by the “floristic list for the threatened species”in Wallonia, “Hide-and-seek with the missing” is a poetic way of protecting our biodivesity.
Illustrations of threatened species appear and disappear on the floor, reacting to sunlight, just like and hide-and- seek with the plants.
